Probably not. I believe Philo is the "sports-free" joint venture between Discovery/Scripps, Viacom, A&E, & AMC networks. I don't think networks that carry sports, such as FOX, ABC, NBC or Turner would ever join as they would probably want their sports channels included in the deal. For general live TV entertainment, Philo is a leader for budget-minded streamers. For news channels, Philo is okay. It includes BBC World News and Cheddar News, but that’s about it. There’s no local news coverage, and none of the popular national channels like FOX News, CNN, etc. For sports channels, Philo is not even in the running. Philo keeps costs low by not carrying expensive sports channels. While Philo may seem like a new streaming service, they have been streaming TV channels online for quite some time. The company started by offering Philo as an on-campus TV streaming service for colleges and universities in the U.S. Now, Philo is available to everyone.
